About this Role
You will be responsible for hunting net new opportunities within our community and strategically selling our Research & Advisory solutions across the AU/NZ region to IT executives.
Your target audience will be a mix of mid-sized and large enterprise clients – many already engaged across the business’s event portfolio.
This is a hybrid opportunity with the head office based in sydneys CBD.
Responsibilities
- Consult with C-level executive IT clients to develop and implement an effective, enterprise wide strategy that maximizes the value the business offers.
- Identify and drive new business opportunities with new organisations across Australia and New Zealand
- Convert viable prospects into active clients, owning the full sales conversation and negotiation, through to the transition of new clients to the account management team
- Continually build an encouraging pipeline of relevant opportunities to deliver against your sales metrics ensuring KPI’s are met
- Manage complex high-revenue sales across matrix and diverse business environments.
- Master and consistently execute sales methodology
- Handle forecast accuracy on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
Qualifications
- A love of sales, respect for the art form and desire to work amongst other high calibre sellers
- A desire to make a difference and over deliver on promises and customer expectations
- 2+ years of proven consultative sales experience, preferably in high technology (services, software or hardware)
- Proven track record meeting and exceeding sales targets in a business development / new business environment
- Ability to prospect and manage C-level and senior-level relationships within mid-size and large organisations
- Strong proficiency in computer skills
- Excellent written communication and oral presentation skills
- Proficiency in account planning and an understanding of territory management
- Knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process from prospecting to confident close
