Release Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Release Manager to lead their Agile Delivery efforts. This role involves orchestrating release schedules, managing risks, and ensuring seamless coordination across teams to enhance our technical initiatives.

This role can be based in ACT, NSW, VIC.

Release Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive release schedule, considering technical dependencies, business needs, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Identify and manage risks and interdependencies related to releases, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate the deployment of releases into key environments in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with developers to assess the impact of code merges on release schedules.
  • Conduct release readiness reviews and execute quality assurance checks.
  • Ensure platform stability post-release, managing post-incident reviews and necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with technical and testing leads to improve the quality of releases.

Release Manager Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of proven experience in release management within complex technical environments.
  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, continuously seeking to enhance and optimize release processes.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams to successful task completion.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proficiency in Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Expertise with Azure DevOps, Pipelines, and other DevOps tools.
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), DevOps practices, and CI/CD, with hands-on experience using release management tools.
