Senior Information Technology Business Analyst

Position Title: Senior Business Analyst – Digital Transformation Programs

Location: Sydney & Canberra

Security Clearance: Must hold Baseline Security Clearance

Contract Duration: Through FY25–FY26 (12+ months likely)

The Senior Business Analyst will play a key role in delivering large-scale digital reform programs within a Federal Government department. This position involves working with cross-functional teams to capture user and business requirements, contribute to digital service design, and support delivery of cloud-based and compliant solutions.

Senior Business Analyst Key Responsibilities

• Capture and analyse user and business requirements for digital services
• Develop user stories, process flows, and technical documentation
• Engage with stakeholders across divisions to identify opportunities for system improvement
• Support Alpha/Beta phases of new product development
• Align with government digital standards, including security and privacy protocols
• Facilitate integration, transition, and risk management activities

Senior Business Analyst Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years’ experience in business analysis, with at least 5 years in the Federal Government sector
• Proven experience in agile delivery environments
• Strong understanding of digital product lifecycle and stakeholder engagement
• Experience supporting complex ICT projects in compliance with federal guidelines
