Sales Team Leader Key Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership: Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing direction, support, and mentorship to ensure targets are met and exceeded. Drive individual and team performance by setting clear objectives and creating a high-energy, competitive sales environment.
- Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with key stakeholders in the real estate technology sector. Drive sales through prospecting, networking, and leveraging industry connections. Target C-level executives, decision-makers, and key influencers to secure high-value sponsors, exhibitors, and delegates.
- Sales Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies and plans for each real estate tech event. Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to ensure alignment between sales initiatives and event objectives. Regularly review performance metrics and adjust tactics to maximise results.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients, sponsors, and partners. Ensure high levels of satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring clients’ needs are met throughout the sales cycle.
- Revenue Generation: Drive revenue growth by securing high-value sponsorship packages, exhibition space, and delegate registrations. Achieve and exceed sales targets, ensuring the profitability of each event.
- Event Strategy Collaboration: Work closely with the event production team to ensure that the conference program, content, and event experience align with the needs and expectations of sponsors, exhibitors, and delegates.
- Market Intelligence: Keep abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and client needs within the real estate tech and proptech sectors. Use this insight to refine sales pitches, improve event offerings, and stay ahead of market trends.
- Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and key market insights. Utilize CRM and other tools to track progress, forecast future sales, and identify areas for improvement.
- Team Development & Training: Coach, train, and develop the sales team to enhance their skills and capabilities. Lead by example in sales performance, communication, and relationship-building.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven Sales Experience: At least 5 years of experience in B2B event sales, preferably within the real estate tech or conferencesector. Experience in selling sponsorships, exhibitions, and delegate registrations is highly desirable.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage a sales team. Experience in training and developing staff to perform at their highest potential.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the real estate technology and proptech sectors, including key players, trends, and challenges. Familiarity with the B2B conference landscape and event sales cycles is essential.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport and negotiate at all levels, including C-suite executives and senior decision-makers.
- Sales Acumen: A consultative sales approach with a focus on building relationships, understanding client needs, and tailoring solutions. Proven ability to close deals and exceed sales targets.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop long-term sales plans that align with the broader goals of the business.
- CRM Proficiency: Proficient in using CRM tools and data analytics to track sales performance, manage leads, and forecast revenue.
