Position Overview:
The Head of Sales will be responsible for leading the business’s sales strategy, managing both the inbound and outbound sales teams, driving growth within large enterprise and government sectors and developing domestic and international channels for refurbished equipment.
This role will be pivotal in maximising the business’s existing client base, securing new business, selling new services/products and strengthening strategic relationships that align with the company’s focus on ESG outcomes and data security.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the ICT industry, with a proven track record in sales management, and strong alignment of the business’s values.
Head of Sales Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Leadership
- Oversee and manage inbound and outbound sales teams, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Lead the client services and service delivery teams to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Drive performance within the sales teams through effective coaching, mentoring, and management.
2. Business Development
- Grow the customer base within large enterprise and government sectors, focusing on clients with a strong emphasis on ESG outcomes and data security.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, ensuring a healthy sales pipeline.
- Develop and implement strategies for winning new business while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients.
3. Channel Development
- Establish and manage local and international channels for the distribution of refurbished IT equipment.
- Develop and execute strategies to expand the market presence of the company’s refurbished IT products.
4. Strategic Account Management
- Lead the strategic account management process, ensuring strong relationships with key clients and partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs and exceed expectations.
5. Partnerships and Alliances
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry bodies, strategic alliance partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Leverage partnerships to enhance WV Technologies’ market position and drive sales growth.
6. Sales Strategy and Execution
- Develop and implement sales strategies that align with the company’s overall business objectives.
- Monitor sales performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to the executive team.
- Ensure the sales team meets or exceeds revenue targets and other key performance indicators.
7. Networking and Relationship Building
- Act as a key networker and door opener for the sales team, leveraging personal and professional contacts to generate leads and opportunities.
- Represent WV Technologies at industry events, conferences, and forums.
Head of Sales Key Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a sales management role.
- Proven experience in selling new hardware, software, or managed services into large enterprise and government sectors.
- Demonstrated success in driving sales performance and achieving revenue targets.
