Role Overview:
Our client is seeking an IT Security Assessor/IRAP Assessor to support various Cloud projects within an integrated workforce. The IT Security Assessor/IRAP Assessor will play a crucial role in accrediting systems and data by independently assessing security postures, identifying risks, and recommending mitigation measures.
Cyber Security Consultant Duties and Responsibilities
- Security Threat and Risk Assessment:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify potential security threats and risks.
- Develop security accreditation artefacts to address identified risks.
- Information Security Registered Assessor Program (IRAP) Assessments:
- Perform IRAP assessments for proposed ICT designs and solutions, particularly within the Digital Identity system.
- Ensure adherence to Australian Government security standards.
- Manage and develop complex relationships with stakeholders.
- Communicate security concepts effectively to non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writing.
- Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure robust security practices.
Cyber Security Consultant Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in ICT system accreditation.
- Leadership: Strong leadership experience and skills in managing security-related tasks and projects.
- Organizational and Communication Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Security Experience: Demonstrated security experience in complex ICT environments.
- Understanding of Security Frameworks: In-depth understanding of the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM), and other Australian Government security guidance and advice.
