Position: Aircraft Data and Network Manager

Location: Enoggera, QLD 4051, Australia

Overview:

Our client in the defence sector looking for a skilled Aircraft Data and Network Manager to oversee the avionics systems and software development for the CH-47F Chinook aircraft. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in software and avionics integration, project management, and the defence sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Software and Avionics Integration:
  • Lead the integration of software and avionics systems for CH-47F Chinook helicopters.
  • Ensure smooth operation between software and hardware components.
  1. Aircraft Health & Usage Monitoring:
  • Support the CH-47F Health and Usage Monitoring System (CPHE).
  • Analyze usage data to predict and prevent maintenance issues.
  1. Mission Planning Software:
  • Manage and support the CH-47F Mission Planning software (AMPS) and the Army Aviation Common Mission Management System (CMMS).
  1. Compliance and Certification:
  • Assist with the design, certification, and regulatory compliance of avionics and software modifications.
  1. Project Management:
  • Manage minor avionics projects, ensuring timely and on-budget completion.
  1. Engineering Procedures:
  • Develop and document standardized engineering procedures.
  1. CH-47F Chinook Expertise:
  • Leverage deep knowledge of the CH-47F Chinook to support ongoing design and improvement initiatives.
  1. Data Usage and Analysis:
  • Lead efforts to establish data usage and analysis capabilities for CH-47F Aircraft Usage Data.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Software Integration Level 3 (8-11 years): Experience integrating complex software systems, especially in aerospace/defense.
  • Avionics Integration Level 3 (8-11 years): Proven ability to integrate avionics systems across platforms.

Desirable Skills:

  • Expertise in Aircraft Health & Usage Monitoring and Mission Planning Software.
  • In-depth experience with CH-47F Chinook avionics and software.
  • Knowledge of Software Acceptance and Certification, DASR, and Project Task Management.
