Technical Lead

Our client, a government body, is seeking a Technical Lead to support and deliver ICT projects. This role involves both leading and hands-on software development, with about 25% leadership and 75% development.

Location: ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, VIC

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development team and manage workload.
• Develop and maintain C# enterprise software.
• Create automated build and deployment scripts (e.g., using TFS, PowerShell).
• Follow Scrum methodology for projects.
• Liaise with technical and business staff to resolve issues.
• Maintain development schedules and track project progress.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and manage the product backlog.
• Facilitate Agile rituals and clear organizational roadblocks.
• Share knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement.

Team/Project: You’ll be part of the Chief Information Officer Division (CIOD) within the AEC’s Enterprise Transformation Group (ETG), focusing on robust ICT functions and modernization.

Selection Criteria:

• Experience as a Technical Lead with strong team management skills.
• Hands-on experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and liaison between tech and business teams.
• Expertise in automated build/deployment scripts and .Net technologies.
• Backend development experience with web API and SQL.
• Experience with cloud applications and technical analysis.
• Ability to manage priorities, deliver quality results, and communicate effectively.
• Proven integrity and ability to work within legislative and policy frameworks.
